Title: Harriet

Composer: Tim and Louise Berens

Description: Harriet is a piece for Narrator/Singer and Orchestra that tells the tale of Harriet Tubman’s swashbuckling, daredevil life as a conductor on the Underground Railroad. The music is inspired by the heroic movie scores of composers like John Williams and Alan Silvestri. It is an uplifting piece of music that audiences love.

Tim and Louise Berens composed Harriet after months of research into her life. Her life was so rich with heroic tales that it was not possible to include them all. Deciding which heroic tales to cut was a difficult task.

Harriet would be an ideal piece for an educational concert about the Underground Railroad.
